With over 30 years of operational, educational, training, and consulting experience, Julie Olsen, DPA, MBA, SPHR, SHRM-SCP, established Workplace Advancement Strategies with the desire to help leaders and organizations expand their capabilities and reach their goals. 
Some highlights of Julie's experience include:
  • International Keynote Speaker at Great Place To Work: Learning from the Best Conference in Athens, Greece
  • International Webinar Facilitator: Addressing the Leadership Challenge with McKinsey and Company, London
  • Facilitating a senior executive retreat leading to the creation of a people philosophy and strategy resulting in the organization being named one of Fortune Magazine's Top 100 Companies to Work For
  • Created succession plans for multiple divisions in a healthcare organization
  • Served on a senior level team to design and implement a new safety culture resulting in the reduction of errors
  • Reduced losses in a product line by $3 million in 18 months and increased market share by 12%
  • Served as a consultant to Scotland and the Republic of China
  • Project Manager for a wellness program to include development and implementation
  • Adjunct faculty at two area universities teaching Master level courses in business administration, leadership, and healthcare administration
Julie comes with a long list of certifications and honors. She is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and is a Society of Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).  In addition, she is a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt and holds a certificate in Organizational Development. Julie has been certified to administer the Leadership Versatility Index (a 360 degree feedback tool), Development Dimensions International Facilitator Trained, a Just Culture Certified Instructor, and DiSC Behavioral Profile trained. 
As a committed volunteer, Julie utilizes her talents to give back to the community in many ways. She serves on the United Way Investment Board, Communities in Schools Savannah Board, South University Healthcare Program Advisory Committee, and the May Howard School Council. She has volunteered with Jr. Achievement, the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, and
recognized by South Magazine as a Champion for Children. 
Julie has a bachelor of science in education, an MBA, and a doctor of public administration.
